Operation HomePort (OHP) provides opportunities to gain invaluable hands-on experience working with children and youth participating in Navy Children & Youth Programs (CYP) Child Development Centers (CDC), School Age Care (SAC), and Teen programs.

OHP interns engage in planning and leading developmentally appropriate activities, facilitate and participate in planned activities, supervise and account for the whereabouts of children and youth, and support and facilitate positive, respectful relationships between children, youth, parents, and CYP professionals.

OHP assignments are approximately 120-days long and opportunities may exist for the position to extend for a longer period of time or to complete an additional assignment in a new, exciting location.
